Did a new DVD today - The Firm - Ultimate Fat-Burning Collection. It has four workouts on it. I did the Cardio Overdrive one first, then did the Pump, Jump 'n Jab for about a total of about 85 minutes. Not sure how I liked it, other than it was a change of pace. No real instruction except as they're doing the moves, so it's easy to get lost if you're uncoordinated like me. But a decent burn and a change of pace.

Still freaking out about my heart rate. My daughter just measured hers and it's also low. I thought maybe it's the monitor, but she told me how a few years ago a gym teacher was angry with her for not being able to get her heart rate up for a test the class was doing using averages and stuff. So maybe it's something genetic. I don't know, since I don't suffer any of the things normally associated with a low heart rate - no dizziness, no fatigue (other than could be explained by thyroid - and how fatigued can I be if I can still use will-power to make myself workout most days?), no fainting. Hmmm.... interesting, anyway.

Had a friend take her blood pressure and heart rate and it was completely within normal limits. I think it's us. My mom had a mitral valve replacement in '93 and it's possible there's a hereditary link here. But neither of us has symptoms. Thank God.

Weighed in this morning and my weight was 144.8. Yippee! Lowest I've seen it in years - probably at least five :) And a relief since I was over two pounds heavier yesterday and I couldn't understand why. Still hoping for a big drop over the next 8 days...but I'll be okay if it's two or three pounds.

Hey buddy: we're on the same team for the Get Off Your Ass challenge! Go Team Grey! Except we don't rate a mention on the Challenge Info' on the home page so I'm not quite sure what's going on.

Hmm: that low heart rate is weird, but you're right, it could well be a familial thing. Is your daughter going to get it checked by her doctor? ___________________ Love those numbers: way to go D! And your exercise regime is an inspiration, and a great motivation. I think I'll brave the chill upstairs and start clearing out the spare room aka sewing room aka potential mini-gym. We gutted it a couple of years back when hubby's family visited from Canada, and I've never moved back in 'cause I was going to take the opportunity to redecorate it. It's metamorphosed into the junk room, and my fabric stash is still mouldering in big bins on the back porch.
