Back from CA now and it's time to work out. Didn't work out at all while gone, even though I took my mat and DVD's and hand weights. No excuse, not very convenient in someone else's home. Put on a couple of pounds, but sure hope some of it is all the sodium (and wine) from the food. Time to work out. I'm going to try to work out really hard today. Good to be home! I've missed my fat secret buddies and just the general accountability I get from it.

...later
Did the cardio max 1 & 2. Whew! Still want to do another longer DVD in a few minutes. Actually got my heart rate up to 130 : ) That's a first when I've measured it.

I also did the banish fat, boost metabolism. When I'd finished (with a 15 or 20 min. break in there) my calorie burn was about 700. Was feeling energetic so did a bit of cleaning, too. High calorie burn day (for me), will be over 3,000. Didn't eat much today. Guess it's okay for a day.

Welcome home D: how was your trip? Not too stressful I hope. I've missed my buddy! __________________ It's really hard doing anything in someone else's house: back when my in-laws were alive, I always took something crafty (knitting, cross-stitch) with me on our regular visits, but every time it stayed in the suitcase and not a stitch was stitched. Even baking was difficult without "my" bowls, pans and scales, and using a different oven. ____________ Don't push it too hard in the first day: we don't want an injury! When hubby goes back to the gym after even just a week off, he usually drops a little off his weights. And wow on your "normal" exercising heart rate: those thyroid med's are certainly working. I'm so relieved for you (I didn't like to say at the time but those weirdly low rates you used to have seriously freaked me out). ____________________ BtW I'm still looking for my first exercise DVD: if you may recall, I had to check the "imports" would play on our machine. Well, when I went back, all the exercise DVDs and "The Last Waltz" (which I really wanted) were gone. Then to add insult to injury, the soundtrack to the Simon'n'Garfunkel concert DVD I got instead - without an import sticker - won't play on my computer! I'm so disappointed: I don't want to watch the thing, I just want to listen to it!
