I also take Magnesium every day :) Also, gaining when you eat after fasting is normal :) However, after 'doing the math' I ended up with my 5 day 'no solid food fasts' because that usually gave me a 'net loss'. With shorter fasts I tended to just end up 'basically where I started'.

Adef yes, same. But i know its because I'm so irregular... its irritating. I'll weigh tomorrow before i start so i can really keep track but i figure if i fast and hit the gym every day I'll gain some back but not nearly as much as i have been

You could try fibre cspsules. They keep you regular and are good for lowering cholesterol.

When you eat you add weight from food, you retain water from sodium and if you have carbs you refill gylcogen stores with more fluid. I see people thinking that they are gaining fat while freaking out. It's a viscious cycle of fasting and then beating themselves up for eating. Ugh

I know its not fat... its food weight. I also know i need to stop going "well i ate this bad food so i might as well have more bad food" lol there's gotta be a happy medium.

Fishing, ive tried fiber one bars, equate fiber therapy and laxatives. In the past ive also taken probiotics. I'll take mag oxide until it stops working then ill switch to mag citrate which absorbs better than oxide. Its not a new discovery 😂😂😭😭

Yes, I used to do the cycle of eating everything in sight once I got off track. What helped me get over that is knowing there is no track, there are just calories. Any extra will just make the hole I dig for myself deeper tomorrow.

Also, not caring about the scale was another win. The more I weigh, the higher my burn doing the same activities and the extra weight is glycogen that powers my workouts. It's a win win.

also not all the weight you lose while fasting is fat, a little bit of it is dehydration and when you stop fasting you will gain it back. Normally the day after you break the fast you will be heavier, it also depends on what did you ate, I gain a lot of weight when I eat deep fried food (water retention)

Keilin, do you mean ... food waste retention not fat? I already know 80% of it isnt fat. Which is why it comes back when i eat. Lol

I don't really know what is it but normally we are going to weigh more when we eat, I really believe on fasting, I just think that you should stop paying to much attention to the scale if you are going to stress about it. 😊

If you put Epsom Salts in the bath it’s another way to get magnesium!!
