The plant pictured is called purslane. It grows in every sidewalk crack and empty field in America. The kicker is that along side of it often grows a plant that is poisonous but looks very similar. I have declined to test my plant identification abilities. This plant is completely edible, has great nutritional value and some medicinal value as well. So today I went into Home Depot and there it was— on sale for $4.98. I bought a bunch— enough for myself, a couple of neighbors and a couple of people at the pool. Next — scout out recipes.. Vickie here on FS has eaten it and it grows around her area. I’ll keep you posted.

So you can eat the blooms and the leaves? Wish I didn't have a 'black' thumb when it comes to growing plants. Only thing that seems to thrive for me is Pothos Ivy. Not sure if that's edible or poisonous.
