Still waiting on a scale from the VA, so I'm just going to continue to record my weight as 305 lbs. I'm sticking to the calorie counting and walking. Big discovery that my International Delight creamer is the biggest offender of my whole breakfast. Worse than sausage, worse than eggs, worse even than an English muffin with butter. Losing my flavored creamer will suck. I look forward to that every morning. Oh well...

Starting back up with losing weight. Gained a whole bunch over the last 5 years or so. Way too much. Well over 300 lbs now. Joined up with a weight-loss program at the VA and it's basically calorie counting, so I'm back here to start logging food and activities again.
I know a lot of it is just depression about my kids (they won't talk to me or visit), so I need to move on and have a super-active life with my beautiful wife. A lot of travel and unique experiences, most of which require a certain degree of fitness. I get winded using the stairs at work, so that needs to stop.
We'll be taking grandchildren to Disney World in January, so I need to get a minimum of healthy for all the walking we're going to have to do. But the daily life MUST change. More water, fewer and better snacks, WAY MORE moving around, and the hardest part for me: getting more sleep.
My weekends need to be filled with more chores and less watching TV. More walking in the park or downtown and less going to the movies. More books and less web surfing. Bottom line, I need to do what I know is good for me. In time (with patience), I'll meet my fitness goals. I'll never be Ryan Gosling, but I can be a damn good me; just need to stick with it.
