So this is my 2nd b-day post, for my 50th birthday. I felt strangely energized all day, so I did a midnight run which I do sometimes in the summer when it's hot. I have a hilly, 6 mile route that I love but it's also an ongoing challenge for me...but I had so much energy, it was a runner's high, so I did it twice!! Plus a little extra to make it a half marathon!! It was so cool, running in the pitch black darkness. Not one car or person until the very end. Last year when I was losing weight, I thought, what are the chances I could be super healthy by my 50th birthday? Maybe I could run a half or full marathon? I totally surprised myself tonight, as my longest run up to this point has been 6 miles. Wow, I'm feeling really lucky and blessed at this moment. So strange!!

50 years old today. Had to renew my license. When I started losing weight in 2023, one of my main goals was to renew my license at 50 y.o. and record a true weight, and be proud about it!! Been lying about it for 8 years. It had always said 115 (which was true from 16 to 40 y.o.) but I got up to 180. Now it says 120 which is true, and has been for almost a year now.

Weight fluctuates a few pounds either way. The difference is body comp is slowly changing, adding muscle and losing belly fat.
