YAY!!!
Finished the Mercer Island Half Marathon Walk in 4 hours and 3 minutes on Sunday, March 20th~Spring Equinox!!!
It was very cool... My very-early-pregnant daughter walked with me.We had lots of good talking and lots of fun! I had walked 11 miles in training so adding the additional 2.1 miles was not difficult, mentally or physically. At the 11 mile marker the thought was 'wow, the rest is easy!' I was pooped out yesterday afternoon. Today I am a little sore, but have stretched once and will stretch again PRN. Managed to prevent nasty blisters for the first time so the feet healing won't take long. I'm taking a week or two of easy easy~yoga, labyrinth walking, and an easy snowshoe or ski on Friday (it's my job :) ), and hopefully a pleasant hike over the weekend, then I'll gradually ramp up for a 12k walk on May 1st and the possibility of a marathon walk October 31st in Dublin. I am just not sure about the marathon thing...

Sunday 13 walking around costco
Monday 14 walk 40 minutes, yoga 1 hr, PT exercises
Tuesday 15 walk 40 minutes
Wednesday 16
Thursday 17 walk a labyrinth, twice...maybe 30 minutes
Friday 18 Rest~
Saturday 19 strolled an hour or more in Pike St Market and the Seattle Waterfront and SAM Olympic Sculpture Garden. Stretched a bit.
~For Sunday 3/20 is the Mercer Island Half Marathon!
