What's wrong with potato chips?
I know I can't eat them out of a large bag or I'll lose all sense of portion control, so I try to only have the 1 ounce bags. I regularly have a deli turkey sandwich, a bag of chips, and an apple for lunch, and it fills me up pretty well for about 500 calories. Chips are really convenient when I don't have time to fix anything else. I was just curious if there was something beyond what I was seeing making one serving a bad thing.

What's wrong with potato chips?
Okay, I'm new to this site, and I don't want anybody biting my head off, but I've often heard/read that potato (or corn) chips are bad, and I was wondering if somebody could explain why. I read the nutritional information on a small (1 ounce) bag of chips, and they're generally higher in fat that you'd want, but if you're only having one bag, I don't see the problem. 160 calories, 10 grams of fat, 1 gram of saturated fat, no cholesterol, 150 mg of sodium, 15 grams of carbs, and 2 grams of protein. If I saw those numbers on anything else I'd think it was a reasonable snack/side. What am I missing?
