I started with a variation of Thurman's diet in July. On Sept 17th I started following his diet for my body type (Endomorph). Saw the doc on Nov 8th and he wanted me to start counting calories for my portions and had me come to this site. I've lost 15 pounds since July so pleased with that, but once tracking the food and caloric intake I am only running 950-1100 per day and eating the 5-6 meals on the diet and he doesn't want me to drop below 1400 at this time.

My nails, skin & hair are getting dry and brittle since I took all added fats, dairy, etc out of the diet to follow Thurman's to the letter. I am going back to a variation of the diet today and adding small amounts of dairy, cheese, oils each week to help with hair, nails & skin. I have a SEVERE allergy to fish/seafood so don't get the natural oils that most people get on his diet. White chicken, turkey & occasional lean pork just doesn't do it.
