Today is day 4 of 16:8 IF, and I love it! I've actually lost 2 lbs since my Monday weigh in, but I'll hold off logging it until next Monday to see how it evens out (I only record my weight once a week, but I weigh myself every morning to help stay on track). I've always thought fasting meant starving, but it's actually the opposite. Intermittent fasting has finally taught me how to read hunger signals, and that it's ok not to feel "stuffed" all the time. I used to equate "hunger" to anything less than a full stomach of food (which, in all honesty, is probably 90% of the obesity problem here in the U.S.).
It's no wonder we have such a relationship with food... It's everywhere! On tv, billboards, magazines... There's a fast food restaurant every 1/2 mile (at least). It's constantly being shoved in our face to eat more, more, more! And it's not usually healthy food these places are serving; it's pure junk. Since I've cut out gluten, bread and sugar, I can hardly find anything to eat at these places. Maybe a salad if I'm lucky, or a piece of grilled chicken; everything else is battered and fried, or loaded with sugar. Ok, rant over ;-)

Only ate 384 calories for the day... The last time that happened was when I was preparing for a colonoscopy, lol! Actually, had a good day, but a crappy and stressful evening, which resulted in loss of appetite. Dinner just didn't sound appealing, so I drank me a nice warm cup of lemon water. I don't really know what else to say... I really want to vent, but it's a moot point... So I'll just grin and bear it. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I've never made bone broth before, but thinking about trying it. My first batch will be chicken, using a crockpot. I've found several recipes online and it looks pretty simple, but I was wondering if any of you make it, and if so, do you have any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

Under 160 at weigh in, woohoo!! It had been fluctuating throughout the week, but I only log my Monday weigh-ins. So happy to see my hard work pay off! Sometimes it's hard to stay focused and eat right when I'm around my family, but these last few months I have been determined not to stray from my way of eating, and it has definitely paid off. Hope everyone has a great Monday!
