My goal through 1/25 (next Friday) is to eat no more than 1800 calories per day -- just about 150-200 calories below my current average.

I know I'm losing some of the holiday pounds, because there were definitely times when I WOULD have eaten a bunch if I wasn't obligated to record it and face the truth.
Yes, indeed -- journaling just by itself is the most effective lifestyle change for me!

Mother-in-law sent a BUNCH of candy for Christmas, and I couldn't resist eating about half a bag of Dove chocolates yesterday. Today I'm recording EVERYTHING I eat to avoid the binge again today!
