Whew! What a week, one hard inspection of a HUGE laboratory and we had 12 inspectors! Got lots of walking in and by the end of the week I was too tired to eat. My hands & feet are swollen, must mean water retention, guess I'll wait till Monday to check the scales. I am fairly happy with the week's food choices, my co-workers were agreeable to restuarants the 3 dieters could easily do. The only non-Atkins choices for the whole week were 1/2 cup of garlic cheese grits and one margarita.
Tonight I off to a MLB game, the Texas Rangers. My Dad got some free box seats behind home plate. It will greater than 100 degrees out there, maybe I lose the water retention by sweating!

I am headed to Austin. A week of inspecting the State Laboratory. The lab is huge! 7 floors, bigger than alot of hospitals. it takes all 10 state inspectors a week to get it done. Food choices will be challenging this week, eating out lunch & supper with folks that know the best bars in town. :) Will try to get on the internet sometime during the week, hope everyone has a successful week!

Its Friday!!!
Drum roll please: the scales have announced the long awaited drop: this morning the scales showed a new number--249-- 3 lbs this week!!!!
I am still amazed how walking 15 minutes in the am and then in the pm has finally become do-able. I CAN walk further than from the parking lot to my office!!!

Thank you, Caged Liberty! those Philly Swirls are wonderful! I have to count all the carbs but with these that isn't bad at all. I am not sure why but if I count just the net carbs and go over 25 daily carbs, I drop out of ketosis. They have been a wonderful cool treat these past couple of HOT weeks.
