I turned 50 April 2011 and weighed in at 251 the heaveist I have ever been. I have 2 sons one is a quadraplegic whom lives with me and I also have my 85year old mother living with me. My family has a history of diabetes ,HBP and obesity. I am obese and have HBP, diabetes is next unless I do something about it. I have people depending on me so I have to take care of myself also. My weight problem began at puberty, over the past 40 years I have learned it was mostly due to psychological coping and had to learn how to cope in other more constructive ways. I have tried every diet known to man over the past 40 years with short term results, not realizing that eating right and exercising is not called a diet but a lifestyle. And inorder to maintain weight loss you have to change your lifestyle. Now instead of dieting I eat kids meal portions, we eat out for lunch every day so I have to be flexible and make the right choices wherever we go. At Taco Bell i chose the fresco style taco, at Subway I get the 3" kids sandwich, etc. I have lost 16 pounds in the past 6 weeks and have not had any problems. I have also started using a plant based product from the health food store which keeps my blood sugar level and curbs my appetite I feel satisfied with less food while take this product. PGX daily.

Personal Experience
Very Happy I have lost 26 pounds since Sept 13th 2011 and my goal is another 80 pounds for as long as it takes. I lose 3 pounds one week the next week I will only lose 1 pound then once a month I will not lose but remain the same. I don't let these times get me down and make me binge as I would have in the past. As long as I know I am following my plan I don't see any of these as setbacks. I was mindful of my eating through Thanksgiving and lost 3 pounds that week. My approach is
PORTION CONTROL, ENGAGE IN MINDFULL ACTIVITY, CUT OUT MINDLESS EATING.
