Okay, so some bad food choices today. My husband informed me that he had quit his job this morning. I guess maybe I ate a Little Debbie cake and some french fries to keep from choking him.

Things have cooled off here weather-wise. Maybe I will get a nice, long walk in sometime today after work, grocery shopping and dinner. Yesterday I found out that in addition to my 20% pay cut, my husband will be taking a 40% pay cut. I know I shouldn't whine because there are lots of folks getting laid off every day. I am trying not to worry too much about how I will pay all the bills because I certainly don't want to give my body any reason to make more fat cells. Ugh.

Took a nice walk to work this morning. Short, but refreshing. I am trying to live in the moment more, enjoying life moment by moment. Yesterday we were told we will have our work hours cut back again next week for an indefinite period of time. Totally beyond my control. What I did control was how I reacted to the news. I validated my feelings by having a good cry and digging up and transplanting some hostas that looked as pitiful as I felt. Instead of eating. It was too hot to take a long walk and I had to prepare my lesson for my Wednesday night kids, or else I would have walked off the frustration of the state of my personal economy. Good thing that God is good all the time.
