Went vegan. Took in too many carbs (rice, couscous, pasta....dang!). Didn't care. Trying to care despite being more overwhelmed than I have been in a LONG TIME! Just trying to have some control over SOMETHING in my life.
UG. don't even know what I weigh. Scared to get on the scale.

I can give you the formula if you want it. If you want to do the math. What I would like to know is my new "how many points per day" based on weight/age/etc.

The Formula IS (in the US anyway)

(Protein/10.94)+(carbs/9.17)+(fat/3.89)-(Fiber/12.49)

EXAMPLE: Fiber one chewy bar - oat and chocolate variety
(protein 2/10.94) +
(carbs 29/9.17) +
(fat 4/3.89) -
(Fiber 9/12.49)

so....protein .18
Carb 3.16
Fat 1.03
fiber .72
.18+3.16+1.03-.72 = 3.65 points
The iphone app comes up with 4 points....so, round up.


All numeral are in GRAMS.

yep...go to "your fat secret" then on the left it says there are 6 little choices, inbox, bio, etcetera.....one is Image. That will change your TACO! Smile

Has Anyone Else Had Trouble Losing Weight Even Though They Are Sticking To Their Diet?
I couldn't do the atkins for long, it made me feel really sick.

I am a salt addict, and it is hard to cut it so low, my cheat is always chips or something crunchy and salty. But, that is a big no no right now! I need to see some success first!

I agree with everyone, especially Johanne! I bet it is going to be hard to STOP like the friend you met, who has to put weight back on. I can't IMAGINE having that problem, but one day, I think it may come to me. It is hard to not feel in control, especially after so long. Congrats to everyone for starting the journey! I know for me personally, I have NEVER been this close to goal weight....even in HS. So, coming from a place of having to lose 100-125, down to only needing to lose around 10-15....it is hard to wrap my head around. I have been overweight since I was 10....28 years of my life.

Rhetorically speaking, how do I wrap my head around the fact that I am not a grossly overweight person? How do those first impressions go? Do I think people look at me differently? Do they take me less seriously now?
