No change for over 2 weeks. Some what frustrated. Logging everything as close as possible. Had a great weekend celebrating belated hubby's birthday, our anniversary (48 yrs), son and DIL anniversary (18 yrs) and DIL birthday. Red Lobster and Red Robin treat meals. Stayed within +/- 150 calories of allotted. Walked and on our feet most of the time.
This week I have been cutting back on calories and trying to be more active, still fluctuating between 216 and 217. So irritated yesterday that I had an "ANGRY DAY"! I ate CRAP all day, was still only 50 calories over.
REALLY hard to keep at it and not see the results!
It is Back to the plan today!
Something better change SOON! True temper tantrums happen on the floor... Then you just have to get back off of the floor!

Small Loss is better than none.
Had Hubby's Birthday BBQ Bash with family and friends this past weekend. When we BBQ the motto is "if you light a fire cook it all". Strip Steaks, Filet Mignon, Pork Ribs, Hamburgers, Oriental style Chicken and some Brats all crossed the grill manned by Hubby and Grandson. Also had Cheesey Potatoes, the last of the tomatoes and the obligatory Chocolate Cake/Ice Cream. Everyone gets to take home leftovers.
We are still enjoying the meat buffet. Hubby and I agreed to throw out the last of the cake. It was too much of a temptation for us. He's decided that he needs to work on his waistline as well.
2 SIL are dropping lbs as well. Both are down at least 30#. Youngest daughter got on the wagon with us 3 weeks ago. She's dropped 11.5# so far. So happy and proud of them.
I really can't back slide now. I started this party 2 years and 73# ago. It was gratifying to see everyone eating and having a good time, with several comments about getting back to the new normal.
This week is 12-1300 calories down from 15-1600 and continuing construction in the basement. Sure takes longer for 2 old folks to put it back together than it took to tear it out.

Apparently the leap from the track was what I needed to refocus on the right path. I was angry with myself for the continued bad food amount and choices after the Cold Stone adventure. That was not good but continuing to overeat was what upset me. I know that 1 day is not a big deal. It is the continued bad choices that are self-destructive. I am giving myself credit for recognizing the behavior and ending it successfully.

Cold Stone Creamery ice cream binge the first of the week then overeating everything for 2 more days. Had to put myself in timeout for a couple of days to get my head back on track.
Spent all day yesterday cutting down and loading an invasive Mulberry tree. Hottest day this week and no wind in Kansas. Not the best choice for when to do it! Taking the last trailer load to the landfill this morning and it's done! Need to call the stump grinding folks to make sure it doesn't come back.
Giving myself a pat on the back for stopping the derailment quickly this time. Overall really proud that I can record a loss.

Lazy week. Needed to take a break from the basement project to recover. Paperwork and other time sensitive things were also calling. Errand day today.
Back to the basement tomorrow. Didn't cut calories to match activities, so I am happy to have the small loss!
Haven't been measuring as I go. Getting closer to a big decision for me. I am going to join the YMCA for their water aerobics. I haven't owned a swim suit for over 25 years. I ordered one. When I was deciding on on the size, I measured... Hips are down 12" since the last time I measured. I've lost 70.3# the last 2 years and a month.
I am still struggling with the body image thing. It's really time to tone up the saggy baggy body. Used to love lifting and swimming. Gonna see what the older body can still do hopefully without injuries. I tend to push too hard.
Hubby and I both retired in April. Trying to get a new lifestyle established is really a challenge, but lots of fun most days.
