Balanced diet is working with steady loss of bit over a kg a week and no hunger (except on my fast til 6pm and then just a low cal dinner day). Out of obese BMI zone into overweight zone, so just lowered my weight goal to be just in a healthy range. Moderate exercise as that's sustainable. 93kg-73 in 4 months, on track.
Daily goals in focus but if fall short or overshoot no stress as eating a bit intuitively and it's the weekly balance sheet (taking in account exercise too) that counts. Loving this non diet diet, its just retraining tastebuds and educating about right eating. Reduced stress from planning by using myfoodbag dinners around 600-700 calories, especially vege packed ones - most are delicious.

Big takeouts - absolutely minimal chocolate eg 8gm daily (third of a sante bar), or use protein bars instead and must almost cut out hi cal dry snacks like crisps (only have 15 gm nibble a day if must) or replace with wet fibrous ones. My only thing to totally avoid is pastry - as it has no value and too much calories to justify, but once in a blue moon for this killer.

Soon to hit 85kg when my calorie intake will drop from 1500 to 1400. Am building good recipe list from my food bag deliveries. Have the right supplements to hit fibre, protein and omega 3 goals. Now after several weeks have a shopping list of great products to ensure a balanced diet within calorie allowances. Squeezing in lots of veg without it hurting.
Need a slight protein increase and slight fat decrease. Carbs about right.
Guess I'll do the same foods but downsize portions when calories decrease.

Pictured products are becoming staples in lowering cholesterol and enough protein given I don't do red meat. Also Matakana chia powder (more bioavailable than seed). Fibre has needed watching, Fibrous brown bread esp with added protein (keto brd if have budget) gets the tick, porridge, apples - goal is 30gm not the 15-20gm doing.
Nothing naughty online in NZ here has great choc coated protein bars.
