I made a point of fitting in at least 30 minutes of exercise for every day this week except one. However, I just didn't do what I needed to do in regards to my eating. There are just too many temptations this time of year. I'm afraid my will power fizzled this week. Next week will be better. Sorry Golden Grinches for the added pounds. I will work hard to get back on track next week.

Boy, am I exhausted. I have painted for about 8 hours this afternoon and evening. I really don't know how to record this form of exercise, so I just listed it as standing as I was on my feet the whole time. Today I worked inside priming and painting the new part of the kitchen, the laundry room, and a hallway. The builders will be back tomorrow and hope to have the bathroom we are remodelling completely finished by Tuesday or Wednesday. I can't wait!
We finished all of the barn that we could reach with the scaffolding. We still have about 1/4 of the barn to go, but we are going to have to rent a bucket truck before we are able to finish painting the very top portions of it. That will have to be done over a weekend I guess.
It's back to work for me tomorrow. Fortunately it is a work day. If we don't have to work on units the whole day, I should have time to get together what I need for the upcoming week. I usually spend at least one day of my vacation at the school catching up on things, but I was too busy over this break.
I am hoping to have time to jog a couple of miles after school, but I have to be at the gym by about 6:00 to launch a new Group Power workout. Afte that, I guess I will be writing my paper that is due for class Tuesday evening.
Where did my week off go?

I have spent all week painting our barn, and we still are not finished. However, we are getting closer and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Because my time has been committed to this project while I have the week off from school, I have not had the time to make healthy food choices. There has been a lot of fast food. Today was better though. My daughter is home from school. She is now eating a vegetarian diet and is loving it. She says she has so much more energy. She made vegetarian lasagna for dinner and it was pretty good.
I am trying to make the color option work.
Yea!
It
worked!

What a busy week. Believe it or not, I am actually on vacation, but I have so many projects going on this week that I haven't had time to update my food journal.
We have a major painting project going on this week. At the end of the summer, we had a new barn/garage built. It was our hope to get the whole thing painted this week. Although we are hard at work on this project, it doesn't look like we will be able to finish in one week's time.
In addition to the painting project, I am also trying to learn a new workout routine for the class I teach at the gym. We launch this new routine on Monday.
In the evenings, I am trying to finish a cross stitch stocking for my nephew. He turns a year old on November 1, and I really want to be able to give him this for his first birthday.
I also went to the gastroenterologist for my 6 month check up. (I have ulcerative colitis that is being controlled with medication.) I had lost 5 pounds from the last time I went to him. He told me he would rather see me maintain my current weight. He doesn't expect me to weigh 130. I don't expect that either, but I do want to lose about 5 more pounds. I think he can live with that if I do it gradually and it occurs as a result of lifestyle changes rather than extreme dieting.
I will try to find a few minutes each day to at least record my foods for the rest of this week. I am looking forward to starting the Cruise to Lose challenge, and getting to know my new FS buddies/teammates better.

I was so excited that I was able to jog for two 16 to 18 minute segments with only a 2 minute walking reprieve in between. If it had not been for my Heartbreak Hill that I jog up, I might have been able to make it at a jog for the full distance. Knowing that I have a 5K coming up in just over 2 weeks, it is a great feeling to see the improvement that I am making in my endurance. I am all set to jog again on Friday with my friends. They push me to go at a faster pace then I set for myself.
