Today I did not do a very good job with my food choices. I ate in the lunchroom rather than making my lunch. I also gave into temptation and had a mountain dew and a snickers ice cream bar. However, I did redeem myself. I walked/jogged a total of 10 km in a little over an hour. According to my nike+ system, I burned a total of 701 calories. I also registered for a 15-K that will be held a week from Sunday. Being able to go 10 km today convinced me that I should be able to do 15-K as well. The only difference is the 15-K is a trail run. I haven't run on trails before. A couple of friends of mine were going to try doing a portion of the trails this past weekend, but we were rained out. We are going to try them out this Sunday instead if the weather conditions improve. They are looking promising...I just hope the trails have time to dry out.

Today was field day for my grade level. I had to estimate the activities I would put on my diet calendar. I basically divided my activities between standing and walking since that was the majority of what I did. I didn't record the few times I was picked in duck, duck, goose as I kept the kids busy while we waited for our next event. I also had one turn on the inflatable slide...the kids all enjoyed that.
I really wanted to run today, but it is still raining. It has been raining off and on for the past week. After being in severe drought conditions last year, it is hard to complain about rain, but I still have three days with my kids and the forecast is for three more days of rain. The one bright side is they are forecasting sun for Saturday...I just have to make it that far. Wish me luck! :)

I ran again today. I made 4 miles in just under 40 minutes. I was very excited by this. I ran 2 miles just two days ago and did not feel like I was going to make it that far. I just need to get back into a consistent running/workout routine. My weight has started climbing back up because I have not been doing this. I have a week of school left with the kids and then three days the following week. After that, the summer is mine. I have a fence that I will paint this summer, flower beds that are in need of more attention, and horses that need to be ridden. I am looking at signing up for a couple of runs this summer, I plan to go swimming about once a week. I plan to buy a new bike this summer, and take the bike to a couple of different areas to ride. My parents live near Callaway Gardens and I hope to visit them once a week and ride around Callaway. I also hope to go to Dauset Trails which is about a half hour away to hike and bike. I have alot of plans, but they will all keep me actively involved and will help me with my weight loss goals.
