Well I'm back. It's been 2 years and I'm up 8 pounds - which isn't bad considering the last couple months have been a health wreck. Even now, later today, I'm facing a specialist who I think is going to tell me that I have to be non-weight bearing on my L foot to heal a pressure ulcer. Sigh. This is gonna be tough. I'm 61 years old, live alone (with a wonderful dog) in a house with stairs to the bathroom. Need I say more? Oh - and I'm scared.

Scared to death that this is the beginning of the end of my mobility. I'm a severe diabetic who was just diagnosed with Charcot's Foot. From everything I have read, it's not something I will ever get rid of. So being non-mobile with being overweight - well that's not a good combination. I now need to watch my intake even more than I ever had. Sigh. Yeah, I'm scared.

But - I just got through giving myself a pep-talk. It could be worse - I can still do many things while sitting, right? And, just maybe - I'll catch up on all those books that I would like to read!

Count down to specialist appointment is 10 hours. Now if I could only sleep and not stare at the ceiling worrying - which of course, is very stupid. So - I'm back - and yet now off to bed.
