Had a rough day yesterday due to another weather-induced migraine. But back to usual today. Almost gave in to temptation and ordered a tea from Tim Horton's when I was out driving around trying to get Caleb to fall asleep (and stay asleep!) Resisted the urge, and came home and had a full bottle of water. :)

Today is turning into a very long, trying day. Kids are arguing and refusing to listen (and refusing to help out around the house). Animals are going nuts for no apparent reason (other than not being used to all the kids home and inside for this many days) I haven't given into the temptation of emotional eating. I have been sticking to my flavoured water, and I will soon make a nice pot of peppermint tea to soothe my stomach and soul. I'm looking forward to 5 hours from now when they are all in bed for the night. I hope that tomorrow they will wake up and be totally transformed into polite, helpful, listening children! (Hey, I'm entitled to a few delusions!)

It was a very long day. Overslept this morning due to not changing all the clocks for Daylight Savings. Scott wanted to go to a train show in Lambeth, so I skipped church in order to avoid taking two vans down. It was nice to see Aaron, and it was nice not having to cook dinner myself. However, dinner was crockpot scalloped potatoes with ham, so I picked out as much of the ham as I could and ate that, and ended up with the equivalent of roughly a tablespoon of potato. I loaded up on salad and veggies, which completely filled me. I turned down the freshly baked cookies and cake, and didn't really miss it at all. To satisfy my sweet tooth, I had one of the Russell Stover SF Toffee Squares. :)
Kids are now on March Break, so my goal is to avoid emotional eating from the frustration caused by their constant bickering at each other. I bought lots of lettuce and spinach tonight so that when I have a meal I can keep avoiding the starches. :)

Going over to the US today ... aiming to stock up on some low carb items (such as Advantage bars, cheese strings and salad dressing). Planning the trip so we aren't forced to eat out, as I have given up eating out for Lent, save for Ilene's birthday dinner.

Today was an okay day. I stayed on plan, but have been overly tired and have been fighting a chronic backache. On the upside, I did manage to get a bunch of paperwork sorted, and filled two bags with donations of toys and books.
