Good morning everyone, today is fast day again and the program is working so far. I was talking to a doctor I know yesterday and she said that when people eat fake sugar it can cause you to get fatter. Because the body produces insulin when you eat your food, and fake sugar taste sweet and the body thinks sugar is coming and sends out the insulin. Guess what happens when there is no sugar being eaten? the insulin is stored in your fat cells.

I am not using the same scale, but I believe I have lost weight. I also have more energy, which is great, even though I woke up a few times during the night. Today is my fast day, so I will not have coffee, but I will have green tea which I like just like it is.

Okay tomorrow is fast day and I am ready for it, I have stopped eating at 6pm tonight. I will eat again in the morning about 250 calories and then again tomorrow night about 250 calories. No sugar, starches or anything except protein and vegatables.

As I continue on 5:2 fast diet, I do not seem to have energy yet, but I have lost 5lbs water weight. yesterday was a little tough in the afternoon, but I made it through. I can eat regular today and tomorrow, then fast again Monday. I believe I am coming up on a week. so far so good.

Today is fast day for 5:2 fasting... you are not to eat past 6pm the night before or have 12 hours of fasting, whatever way that works out for you. Then I am allowed 500 calories today of meat and vegtable oil for cooking. no fruit, no startch, no sugar. I will have lima beans, with vegtables saute'for breakfast meal then 10-12 hours no eating during day time, but I can have herbal tea, things with no calories. then for supper I will have fish or meat and vegtable saute'. I can have 200 and 300 or 250 and 250 or any combination to 500 calories during the 2 meals. then no eating for 12 hours until tomorrow morning. The important part is on non fast days, do not restrict yourself, if you do on nonfast days it does more harm than good. Here is the guidelines. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9Aj6hRYg4A
