Hello my fellow FatSecreteers!

I have been gone for a short time due to my new position at work. It has been a learning experience to say the least, and has taken its toll on me both mentally and physically. This is not to say that I regret that decision to accept the position and the benefits it provided, but it all came at a cost which included my weight loss progression.

Now that I have more adapted to my position I feel that it is time to get back onto the wagon and get myself back down to my previous low and further. It was a difficult thing because my new "peers", the other supervisor and postmaster, tended to like to eat at local eateries and share what's been going on in the work day with the rest of us. This has been a bad ritual for my weight loss, and it'll have to stop if I am going to continue with my goals.

With that said, I am back with renewed determination. I'll see that 200 sooner than ya'll might think! :D

So a while back I was hit with a curve ball at work that just threw my world upside down. I'll tell this as a story as it has made a huge impact on my life and consequently my time here!

So I was texted by my Postmaster that he needed to talk to me about something but that it wasn't urgent. I called him and he said he needed me to come in so that he could talk to me, he then reassured me that it was nothing bad, and proceeded to ask me to come in when I could.

So I am obviously concerned because it is something "not bad" yet it needs to be discussed in person. So I go into his office later with some trepidation. The Postmaster is there as is the Supervisor. They request that I shut the door when I come in and then they just sit there and stare at me me for a minute.

FINALLY, they decided to explain to me that my Supervisor is going to be detailed to another unit for an unknown length of time. That left a hole in the management staff, and he wanted to know if I wanted to fill that vacancy.

So after all that worrying and concern, he broadsides me with an incredible opportunity. To which, of course, I accept.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks later and it has been utter hell, but things are finally starting to come together. He treated me to lunch today and let me know he felt I was doing good job and that he is glad that I accepted the offer. I have been working 12+ hour days every day since this all happened, and I was already working 10+ before that, so I haven't had much free time.

Another fun thing that has happened today is that a coworker that I haven't seen for several months came to visit and was just amazed at how much weight I had lost since we had last seen each other.

Today has been an excellent day and I am happy as can be!

This last week has been incredibly difficult to say the least. Finding time to cook was out of the question, so I had to rely on fast food and snacks to get me through each day. I did my best to eat as healthily as possible and made a mental note of the quantity of calories and their sources so that I might prevent over eating.

I'd have to say that it was successful in regards to calories in versus calories out. I'm fairly sure that most of the weight lost was water weight, but it is nice to see a new low as I have not been this far down in weight yet.

I'm extremely tired still, and extremely hungry, so I am going to make some bacon and eggs and relax to some movies. I think I earned that. I don't want to lose all of my progress so I'll make my food for today, since it is my day off, and aim for no more than maintenance.
