STAR ANISE
OK, so I told you I was a nurse. The flu season has been at epidemic levels. I wear a mask all shift since I did not get the flu shot...I won't take it. Anyway, I came home today with a gnawing sensation when my nose meets my throat inside, almost like a sore throat but not quite. Now, 12 hours later, my nose is getting stuffed up. I pumped up my body in preparation for this because I knew to try to escape it was futile.
Experiment: Did you know that Star Anise is Tamiflu? Well, about a week ago I got about 5 ounces of Star Anise at Whole Foods. See, I knew it was coming. So today I took 5 large stars and boiled them in a 6 ounce coffee cup in the microwave (probably killed the medicine). I made a sweet tea of it and drank it. Then I chewed the arms of the stars after cracking them like eating sunflower seeds and getting the seed out, the medicine. I ate them again tonight. (Tamiflu is 2 times a day).
So, I am experimenting and will know the truth within a few days. Plus I have been taking 1500 IU D3 and Arabinogalactan (which I will write about later). Read about the wonders of our world and the medicine among us.

I have been making soups. Last night:
32 bean mix
Chicken broth
1.5lbs 97% hamburger
Avocado oil (tsp)
Forbidden Black Rice
Barley
Minced Garlic
White Onion
Cabbage wedges
Long stem Japanese white mushrooms with brown tops
2 dashes of salt
7 dashes of fresh ground black and white pepper
enough water to fill remainder of an 8 quart stainless steel pot
Comes out viscous, not soupy. It is the color of black bean because of the Forbidden Rice. I store it in the refrigerator and freezer in 2 quart Mason Jars. Talk about a little piece of heaven!
***Closest image I could find that mimics the soup. I will take a photo of the actual soup sometime soon.

What I noticed as a carb addict is that rapid weight loss occurs if you take carbs away. Then if you eat some, say over a week, you gain 2-3 pounds back fast but if you pull them away again, you lose fast again. Might not be healthy in the sense of gain-loss-loss-gain but it is working.
Just consumed a steamy hot bowl of navy beans with a block of cornbread from Boston Market. I bought 12 cornbreads the other day for my beans. My belly is warm inside and I feel really full. I go to work at 5 pm and won't get hungry again until about 10 pm or 11 pm so I get 6-7 hours of not feeling hungry.
Although I switch up between beans, navy is by far my favorite followed by pinto with a couple green onions. I am still losing, over the past month, I lost about 17 pounds and feel good. I have been working out and started with only 5 core body repetitions because I was so weak on the inside, now I am up to 75!
