Do protein shakes upset anyone else's tummy? I had my first one today. It may be my last...but it has done it's job. I am not hungry, just nauseous.

I'm not sure how I managed this. I ate out Friday and Sunday...and had cheesecake. Maybe it was the weekend stress. I didn't eat much other than those two meals.

So I have been eating more than my recommended calorie intake but I feel that I am doing much better at not mindlessly eating. I stayed away from the left-over Halloween candy last night! Yay Me! Hope you have a great weekend everyone! It's going to beautiful here. :)

I am an emotional eater. I eat when I am bored, stressed or moderately upset. I used food as a way to "cheat" on my husband. It certainly didn't hurt him as much as it did my health. We were trying to go sugar and wheat-free together but I was so angry with him during that time and felt so alone and empty; every time he would leave the room I would shove something unhealthy and sugar laden in my mouth, whether I was hungry or not. I would consume food at work or fast food restaurants and hide the evidence. I know that my weight gain has taken it's toll on me. I had to go back on blood pressure medication and the results of my biometric screening (required for our health insurance) were all abnormal. I've never had such poor health due to my weight and eating habits before. I've tried to start this journey many times before...I hope I can stick with it this time!
