Decided to try an experiment... I have a few these 1L glass juice containers around. I wrapped it in an insulative foil/air space product, leftovers from doing my 3D printer enclosure... that is Gorilla Tape holding it all together. It is far superior to just glass, or any of those insulated plastic containers I have tried.
I have found that water loves to absorb the plastic 'flavour' once a bottle is opened and exposed to air. I drink a fair bit of water per day, around 4L or 5L @ $0.75 to $1/L... hard to keep track of all the ice cubes I use in a day, to get a more accurate measurement. I am fortunate to have collected several 4L glass jars with lids, so I can get my water in a plastic container at the grocer's, then immediately put it into glass containers for the fridge. Currently I keep 10L in the fridge and 8L as backup, it goes fast since it is also used for the ice cubes. One thing I am really loving, the water can sit in the glass, get warm, and not get yucky tasting... the tap water does, and honestly it doesn't taste that great to begin with.
It actually got to where I was making a sound of disgust, when I took a drink of water, that reaction has now ceased.
My stomach is taking it's time getting over the inflamation, but is far better now, than when I was drinking the tap water. I do have an email in to our local Environmental Health Office requesting samples be taken... will see what response I get.
FYI the glass is a Vintage 1962 Seattle World's Fair (Souvenir Glass) I am drinking out of.

3.4kg of Pasture fed Beef Brisket is now in the oven... fat cap up, and coated in a mix of hand-ground (with a Mortar and Pestle) Schezwan and Black pepper, and placed into a 1L organic Mushroom Broth bath... should be done in 4-5 hours... I'll check at 4 hours, so I don't think I know something, and cook it till it's mush. It barely fit in my biggest roaster this time, which with the lid on, barely fits into my oven! Was yakkin with the Butcher about the size restraints, and he said if I wanted, they could do up a rolled Brisket for me... so that's good to know.

A couple of pieces of Back Ribs, fresh from the oven... a tender and tasty breakfast. The rest will get bagged (once they cool down) and into the freezer.

Some days I am slick... other days not so much... Monday had an appointment, couldn't make the Lab for Blood Tests... Tuesday was a 3 hour tattoo appointment, no chance I was getting a blood test... today was going to be the day, but in my morning Zombified state, I grabbed a coffee, ooops, not good when it is a fasting blood test and Coffee is a no-no, so tomorrow is another day. I did however get the back ribs I bought yesterday into the oven for 2 hours of low n slow roasting, 1/2 hour left and they are smelling really good. Stomach is very slowly feeling better, but I get the impression that eating is slowing the progress. I'm wondering if protein shakes are a good way to go, temporarily, to help the stomach heal... something is still wrong though, judging by certain body functions, which should be easing by now, and are not... it could also be caused by Pepto Bismol, but my use of that has really been reduced.
