Katsolo's Journal, 04 July 2024

Happy Fourth! All good things today. Walked yesterday and rowed despite having dropped a chunk of concrete on my foot and it not fitting in my regular shoes. Put on the laceless ones I wear as slippers and pushed through. So, medium walk, ten minute HIIT row (kicked my butt) and today I’m going to try swimming with my backup backup goggles and hope they work well enough. Blob down, muscle up, it’s summer so I’m not worrying about water anymore, I drink plenty when I’m not freezing.

Plans to cook outside and then watch the downtown fireworks at my favorite spot with my favorite person.

Yesterday went to lunch and brought home a ton of tater tots. Thankfully, they reheat well in the air fryer and I can freeze them so I’m only eating a small amount at one time. They’re like mini hash browns with no effort.

Row was #37, got my reward for that first thirty days last night from the UPS man. He’s so funny, I was outside and the dogs were inside and he said he missed them. Haha, I’m sure. They sound terrifying. Skipping anything for 60 and have my eyes on a swim jacket for 90 since we’ll be getting into the serious hot days/cool nights around then.

I know this day is going to fly by quickly, so enjoy the day, stay safe, and enjoy the time with family and friends celebrating the greatness of this nation. United, we stand. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. Press on, press on.

Try watching a rowing video. Dark Horse rowing for guided workouts or RowAlong for same or cool videos that are like being on the water. Keeps the boredom at bay. I just did my thirty minutes before noon. Gonna be a good day.
