Ed1964's Journal, 03 May 2012

I found something I wanted to share with those who are calorie counting. It is an article that shows the exact formula for calculating how many calories a day your body needs to maintain your weight. From there, it shows how to adjust caloric intake/exercise to reach your desired goal weight. I know when I started, everytime I tried to calculate my Basel Metabolic Rate (BMR), nothing ever came out the same and I would get discouraged by being unsure if I was being effective. This site will help take your insecurities away, and it is not hard to understand by the way they explain it. I hope someone finds this information useful and it encourages you to stay the course.

I just put my data into the formula...it seems fairly high for me...like a good 250 or so too high. I just know if I ate that many calories I would gain weight even with my current level of activity. Thanks for the site info!
