My mother has hypothyroidism. I added a few foods to her diet which significantly lowered her dose of her thyroid medications. Turmeric, black pepper, seaweed, Brazil nuts and moringa are all good for thyroid health. Bone broth with turmeric and black pepper is a good way to start the day, and can aid in weight loss. You only need to eat 2 Brazil nuts a day to get the selenium you need Good luck.

@Nancyli , nice advice for anyone. My tests are normal now. I've ordered Brazil nuts and they are often rotten. They are loaded with selenium. You forgot iodine for thyroid.

If you live in California's Central Valley and eat locally grown food, you get plenty of selenium naturally.
