I just watched the documentary Fathead on Netflix. It is kind of a follow up to Super-Size Me. The filmmaker ate fast food for 28 days and lost 12 pounds. Well, I'm convinced! Sign me up! LOL! Seriously, though, what he did was limit his carbs to no more than 100 total a day. And he ate a normal amount of calories. He actually lost more weight than he should have according to 3500 calories = 1 pound mathematics but that was probably because he just started low carb. The film went into a lot of politics as well as the science behind why high carb diets are not necessarily good. Since my views here lately are in line with that, I thought it was great. I know that may be attributable somewhat to confirmation bias though. I do love my "Double Cheeseburger (No Bun)" from McDonald's. Anyway, it is worth a look if you are into food documentaries and especially if you would like to see a viewpoint different from that in Super-Size Me.

I thought the documentary provided some very important nutitional information (and humor). And it isn't biased toward a certain diet just the truth. I was doing Weight Watchers when I first saw it. I ate low fat my whole life and after seeing that movie I wondered what kind of damage I had done to my body. I am so much happier and more energetic on low carb. The political angle was interesting. I think there might have been some biases and not completely right answers, but it sure gets you thinking.

I saw that movie on Netflix about a month ago, and that's why I changed to Atkins. After I found out it was so veggie-heavy, of course! :)
