They're so pretty 🤩 I love the lil pillow case around them... I've never had a tómalo. What different from those and a tomato 🍅? Forgive my ignorance 🙏😞 they're pricey in the store and I don't buy things that I don't know what to do with ( /🐑 ish).

They look like lil lanterns 🕯️. 😊

The lanterns will fill out with a small green fruit that is quite sour. I have to remove the husk and wash them because the fruit is a bit sticky on the outside. Then I fire roast them on the grill on a skewer with the jalapenos and onions, then use my recipe and puree in a blender to make them into salsa verde (green salsa), cook them down to thicken. Everyone raves about the chip dip I make and I think it tastes so much better than any premade brand I can buy from a store. I can freeze the finished product but I think I might have so many tomatillos that I won't have freezer space for all the salsa verde. I will have to water bath can it for storage in the basement in the old pie safe with the other canned goods. Other than that, I have to experiment to see what else I can do with the husk tomatoes, they have a peculiar flavor if eaten on their own. There must be recipes for them though. Tomatillos are not readily available here in Michigan which is why I am growing them. I'm hoping for a five gallon pail of harvest to work with and I just can't buy that many, stores carry only a few and they are pricey. If I don't have enough jalapenos I can always buy those, they are readily available here. Spicy!

Well I wish I was there I'd love to try some of your salsa I adore salsa of any type honestly. But it sounds quite interesting and I like to try new things. I really do like the way they look though I think they're wonderful addition to a garden quite beautiful indeed. And yes I like the little paper lanterns I think they're quite quaint I think they make the garden look quite nice, very danity indeed. I like green things in general though ^^.
