I seriously need to invest a new, lighter 20' extension ladder!! I have an oooold aluminum one that I got from my parent's farm 30 years ago and that sucker was built to last but boy is it a heavy beast to wield in the rain! My eavestrough was clogged and rainwater was overspilling to gather a nice fair size 'pond' right at the foundation...I had to it fix now 'cause we've got 3 days of rain in the forecast. 😧

So how many calories do you think I expended fighting with that old beast for almost 1/2 an hour trying to get the mud off it so it would extend, testing the lock mechanisms and trying to get a secure footing in the mud?? LoL It sure gave me an upper body work-out!! 💪

Needless to say...the clog is cleared and the eavestrough is running free...the ladder - mneh - it was left lying in the grass to get washed off in the rain! 😏
