Oops forgot to turn the pic. This was a record day for me. Highest weight i have done doing squats and essentially rows!!! The Kinesis wall is so much fun for me. I hated it for the first year and now i enjoy it. I do donkey kicks with this machine also (down at the end where the apparatus is set up for it. Much easier on the joints for me than free weights tho i use free weights also. I thought my form was off so trainer took a pic to show me it was fine💕. If i had known it was picture day would have put on makeup and done my hair😂😂

It makes sense to me I worry about my form as well. In fact I found a large mirror (it must have part of somebody's dresser on the side of the road and picked it up). I use that to check my form when I do my squats. I decided that since I couldn't go to the gym I just kind of create my own kind of gym at home. It looks a little strange to have a mirror it doesn't go to anything so I put it in the bedroom so people wouldn't think me odd. But the children like playing with it when I'm not using it so it's not like it doesn't get plenty of use. The mirror's quite large it comes up to almost my shoulders and is about four and a half feet across so it gives me good visibility of my form. I agree with the others makeup would be a little silly at the gym it would just run when you sweat anyways. I've always felt that makeup is like jewelry and is a form of individual expression; some people love wearing it some people like myself just don't. Now I'm also allergic to make up so there maybe some self serving reasons that I don't wear makeup ^^ ironically I'm more allergic to the high hypoallergenic makeup (severe hives, sweating, itching, etc.) than I am regular makeup (itching), lol. I 🤔 thought you looked great and you did have the correct form. Good job 👏 for working hard on self improvement 😊.

You have great form and look so fit. No need for makeup but girl, how can you work out with your hair down? I would die. My hair is always up for working out and cleaning except for last night at the gym. Ha ha that was one exception I’ll never forget. 🤗😘🤣

Wifey i walk 3 miles before i get to the gym and about 2 on the way back home and it is COLD in Washington so im usually frozen when i get there. 9 months of the year i put it up tho because it does get hot. What happened last night at the gym that you wont forget?

Leah it is the one thing that was pounded into me 42 years ago when i first picked up a weight. FORM FORM FORM. Without good form you can get injured much more easily. Always struck me funny these guys and girls that would life heavy weights with really bad form so the muscle group that was supposed to be working was being compensated for by a swinging body and then there would be an injury. Well yeah, of course.

Stormy, thank you. I was hoping by now i could ditch the trainer and work out on my own (not that i dont love her because i do just the $$) but she went to japan for a couple weeks and was a good test for me and yep, i failed. Did my walks but not my workouts. So apparently the only dedication i have is meeting with her twice a week. Work in progress. How’s the classroom treating you this year?

I’m thinking of hiring a trainer this summer. We’ll see. I went from strength training 3Xs per to 2. Just too tired from teaching to do more. Still walk 1.5 hrs Sat & Sun. I count walking at school my weekly walks! The classroom is ok. Some days are awesome, some extremely stressful due to behavior.

Zenus where have you been? I’ve missed reading about your progress. Hope all is well with you. Which Dolly are you referencing? Surely not the one and only great?

YOH, that is similar to me. I started working out seriously in college in the late 60s and became a power lifter. After college, I slacked off for a few years, and then started working out again with my father. He continued working out & walking until he was 88, and died a year later from cancer. He lived in a senior park and encouraged everyone to walk & exercise with him, but most just wanted to watch TV. I again slacked off for several years, and all of that muscle went south turning to fat. I continued to gain, and finally got fed up with it in 2018 after injuring my 2nd knee. So, I've been working out since Nov 2018 and dropped most of the excess weight. I enjoy the time working out, but age, arthritis, and the injuries havs caught up to me, so there are some exercises and weight training I cannot do anymore. Frustrating, but we all do what we can. Happy you can continue with the weights and exercise.
