My name is TenderT1965 and I am a "carbaholic". My desire for cake, pie, cookies, etc. is beyond extreme. Staying "carb sober" has been a battle that I have been fighting for so many years that I can't even count. The bottom line is that I need to get fit and stay fit for me and my son's future. Over the years, I have been up and down in weight. I have battled breast cancer and am now an 11 yr. survivor. I know I can and will achieve this goal. Deep down I know what I have to do.
There has never been a better time than right now!
I am 5'9" tall, and my goal is 189 lbs. which I haven't seen since 1986. My super-duper-ultimate happier-than-ever goal is 175 lbs. which I haven't seen since my senior year in high school.
When I stay focused on FatSecret, my attitude about food is good. I am making NEW LIFESTYLE choices and, with FatSecret I know, before hand, if my choices will be good or bad for me.
I am taking it one day at a time (my right foot in front of my left foot). I'm in no real hurry, but I'll keep clicking my heals, just in case that works.
10 THINGS I LOOK FORWARD TO:
1) Being healthy enough to BELIEVE & KNOW that I'll remain cancer free.
2) Walking without panting.
3) Running with my dog.
4) Keeping up with my 13 yr. old.
5) Not being overlooked when I'm out with my friends (skinny heifers).
6) Shopping off the rack in ANY STORE.
7) Dating and possibly finding Mr. Right when my son is older and moves out (just a few more years).
8) Sitting, comfortably, in an airplane seat (heck, any seat) without rubbing hips with the person next to me.
9) Helping others who are where I once was (mentally, physically) with regards to weight.
10) Running my first marathon (2014 L.A. Marathon).
