I'm going to be 56 next month and really over weight. I never had a problem when I was younger, but I was very active. The weight has been creeping on the last 15 to 20 years. Now I have decided to REALLY TRY to get it off. I can't even put my own socks and nylons on anymore. I am a diebetic, (not insolin dependent, only oral medication) I have severe arthritis and am disabled. I started trying to lose weight in May. On May 12th I weighed 316 at my doctor's visit. I also have developed congestive heart failure, sleep apny and you name it I have probly developed it. But after finding this site, I am very optomistic about my weight loss. It helps to encourage and have the encouragment for other with the same goal in mind. I really don't have hobbies anymore because of my arthritis. I am very active in my church, but in only requires sitting, using the computer and mental exercise. Now that I have lost some weight, maybe I will feel more like doing things. I have to use a walker or cane to walk any distance. Hopefully the weight loss will help me feel better.
My husband and family truly support me in this and that is a big help. The church is also very supportive in my weight loss. They try to fix low calorie, low sugar foods for church activities. That also is a help.

Red Arrow Up & Green Arrow Down
Off to the right of the menu page it say's weight watchers in one column and YOU in the other. It has calories on there before you even add anything to the menu. My calories are always more than weight watchers and the arrown are always red and point up. When I go to my calendar page my net calories are always more than what I entered on the menu page and has green arrows pointing down. I hate to sound ignorant, but I don't understand. Could someone please explain this to me.Embarassed
