Health Screening
Greetings Friends! I want to share something with everyone....on October 26th of this past year I went to a employer sponsored event, a health screening! I did it because I thought I would get the $450 in credits towards my health insurance. Well, I did not get the $450, but it probably saved my life. My numbers were shocking, they always are when you are in denial. I weighed 321 pounds, my blood glucose was 228, my bmi was 45, my blood pressure was 209/94 and surprisingly, my cholesterol was only 178. However, my triglycerides were 688. I was shocked, how did this happen? Well, if you are reading this, you know how it happened. But what have I done since is what is important; I quit smoking 19 months ago after 38 years, so that was one hurdle I didn't have to jump over to start with, but the rest...whew I have a challenge in front of me. I have lost 32 pounds since that day. I don't eat junk anymore, I plan my meals and I look forward to being thin again, Good Luck to everyone and keep at it!
