If you feel fine, then you are OK. Severe restrictions can be unhealthy so it's up to you to listen to how you feel and weigh that against your tolerance. Be careful with huge deficits, they can cause you to binge eat to regain that satiety.

There is anecdotal evidence that extreme low calorie diet coupled with high amounts of activity for overweight people can actually be detrimental to overall loss of fat. Try to make a sustainable change instead of balls out all at once. Also online activity calculators are ALWAYS high as far as energy expended.

So, your "proof" for your anecdotal experiences being empirical evidence is a funded, non-reviewed study with no posted findings?

I'll go out on a limb here and bet there will never be any findings because there were probably never meant to be any. I'll also wait with bated breath for peer review on the no findings study (not really).

Normally I wouldn't respond to this stuff, but your links are meant to obfuscate the points made by respected members of this community and are purposefully misleading.

A cup of skim milk has roughly 90 kcals. If that 90 calories puts you over your energy expenditure for the day by 90 calories, eventually you will gain weight.

No matter the insulin production or lack of, a body can't spontaneously create energy, so it can't "hang on to fat" if you don't feed it more than it needs.

Really, that's all the complexity you need.
