Thanks for the thoughts. Didn't really expect that big of a loss because I've been taking it easy and just walking (not even every day) to let my back heal. It may be that my water was a bit high at my post-vacation weigh-in and a bit low at this weigh-in, but I'll take it. Ive been working to lower my net calorie intake and stuck to 16/8 pretty diligently. Most days I only have coffee and diet soda unti after 4 pm. I like this very much. I think that it suits me. I plan to keep to it as long as it works.

Wow... hoping to see a loss like that when I get permission to weigh again next Friday. Doing a challenge not to weigh for 6 weeks. Congrats to you sir. Awesome.

I know, ClassicR, seeing a drop of 5 or more lbs would put me on Cloud 9! :D

Thanks Rocker & LuC2. Lucy, you're on your way. I think you're in the right place if you want to successfully make.a change. I found that by using Fat Secret and posting all my food and activity EVERY day and by reading the posts of others struggling with the same goals as me, that it kept me focused and excited. When you get down, or if you have diet/exercise questions reach out to your FS buddies. They've been where you are and know what you're going through. Good luck on your journey!

Rockin'. TX. I find that I can eat really light earlier in the day as well and feel great. It suits me just fine. I save my calories for post workout or the evening meal when my cortisol is down and I'm more insulin resistant. I love this path.
