Low carb chicken breasts with a creamy mustard sauce that are delicious.
Ingredients
Directions
- Cut the chicken breast in half, to get 4 portions, cover it with the yellow mustard and pepper.
- Cut the garlic into little cubes.
- Pre-heat the pan with the oil and add the garlic.
- Next add the chicken breast and cook until a nice little brown color on both sides (be careful with the temperature to not burn the garlic).
- Add the sour cream and cook on low temperature for 10 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy.

This recipe could be so much healthier and is not a health conscious recipe, stay away from vegetable oil and replace with good healthy fat oils, as coconut, avocado or olive. Replace sour cream with plain greek yogurt. I made something similar last night using pure maple syrup organic dijon mustard and 1 TBLS of red wine vinegar and served it with zoodles and roasted broccoli.

In order to rate this recipe, AND use the nutrition guide accompanying it, I made it EXACTLY by the directions, quartered. (Didn't need four servings). It was very very good just as written, is easy, and cooks well and reheats adequately.
When I make it again: Replace V. Oil with Olive. I will pound chicken to an even thickness, use Dijon mustard. I will add the sour cream, stir, cover and remove from heat and allow to stand 10 minutes. I'll let you know how that works out.
I'm an Atkins girl. If you do Atkins, do NOT sub the sour cream for yogurt or fat free anything.
And, for those who are interested, I served mine over my second favorite faux starch, riced cauliflower..... divine.

Dish was alright... I'd probably use less oil next time around and maybe try Dijon instead of regular mustard, just to add a bit more flavour. I also used fat free sour cream instead of regular.

Not a fan but I used spicy brown mustard and greek yogurt. Next time I might use sour cream.

If you're concerned about calories (Not that anyone reading this would be), you can take this recipe down to ~290 calories/serving if you lighten up on the oil (1T) and make your own sour cream substitute (I used the greek yogurt, flour and water one from here: http://homecooking.about.com/od/foodequivalents/a/sourcreamequivs.htm). You can still get tons of flavor from the mustard and, as someone else suggested, more flavorful oils.

I'm new to Sugar Busters and made this tonight. Delicious, and used olive oil instead of butter as well!

Super good. Think I put a little to much mustard on the chicken, however, it was very tasty. Had Mashed Cauliflower with it. Over all VERY GOOD!!! Will make again

This was easy and delicious!! My family loved it. I served it over rotini with double the fiber. Also mixed in green giant antioxident blend frozen veggies. I will make this one again!

This was a great recipe. My family is super picky and they all at first turned their noses up, but once they tried it they loved it. We'll definitely be having this again. (subbed olive oil, fat free sour cream, and dijon mustard)
