Simple flatbread that goes good with hummus or a substitute for bread. Pretty similar to naan and goes great
Ingredients
Directions
- Sift the dry ingredients first and mix them together.
- Then add the sesame oil and yogurt, mix well.
- Gradually add water until you form a blob of dough. If you touch it and the dough sticks to your finger then add more flour until it is more pliable and not sticky.
- Lightly flour the surface you are going to work with and plop the dough on there. Knead the dough for 3 minutes then shape the dough into a log and divide into 15 segments (depends on how big or small you want your flatbread). Flatten segments of dough into thin discs they don't have to have a perfect round shape.
- Heat a non-stick skillet in over medium-high and place the flatbread. When the surface starts to bubble flip it over. It will inflate a little. Then flip over again. You know when it's done when you see small golden speckles on the bubbles.

I might want to try this. I finally used up all my non-organic flour and would love to make my own breads and pastas so that I can use only organic and pure ingredients. So much of the chemicals that we take in are through meats and grains!

Did't have any whole wheat flour so used regular white flour. Very nice flavor. Made 15 dense pieces.
