Tasty, filling rice dish with bacon, onions and mushrooms.
Ingredients
Directions
- Add wholemeal brown rice to saucepan of water and boil for the amount of time stated on packet.
- Fry chopped onion and mushrooms in another saucepan using low calorie spray. Alternatively, you could boil in water until tender.
- Grill or microwave 2 slices of lean bacon until tender.
- Add beef stock cube (e.g. Oxo) to rice when nearly cooked and stir in.
- Add cooked onions, mushrooms and chopped bacon to rice, before serving and stir in. Keep stirring until water is absorbed.
- Can be eaten on its own or add zero point vegetables such as carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans.
