I finally made myself write down everything I ate and boy did I eat a lot! I really need to tone it down and get my exercise going. I simply ate too many sweets-though I didn't really eat 4 orange muffins. I ate two homemade ones that are about 155 calories each and that was the easiest equivalent. I need to start reaching for fruit or water before reaching for food.

Just walking around to class and the apartment helped knock out some pounds. Unfortunately, my eating is not very good and any other outside exercise wasn't happening. I'm trying to find the time in my schedule to squeeze in some workouts.

I have been visiting our folks for the past week. When we do that, we cannot control our eating at all. We go out to eat, eat momma's homemade food, and all kinds of stuff. And the only exercising I got in was fetching Frisbee's during Frisbee Golf and a playing a hardcore kickball game. I tried to document my eating, but it proved too hard. But, I'm back home, school is about to start (which forces a schedule on me-in a good way) and I'm ready to get back on track. To be honest, I'm pleased that I only weighed 159. I was afraid it was going to be 163 or more.

This past week was not as strong as the previous week. My downfall eating wise was something called red velvet balls. Just imagine a bite-size piece of red velvet cake dipped in white chocolate. I made them for my husband's work and of course, ate while making them and ate the leftovers. So healthy eating went out the window. Exercising went alright. Wednesday night my lower back was killing me so I tried to take it easy on Thursday. And Friday we went home to visit our folks. So my swimming, treadmill, and weight workouts are out the window. I did look up a "no props" conditioning workout off of womenshealthmag.com and will try to do it. For cardio, I'll have to do my least favorite thing...running outside. I'm in TN, so it's rather hot and humid and hilly. I can avoid the hot and humid by getting up early, but that is not my strong point. The hills I can look at as extra calorie burn. Tomorrow is weigh in day. I don't expect a loss; in fact I expect a gain. As long as it is it back to 163, I'll be alright.
