I remember in january that I said that this year is going to be my year. It too my 5 months to get it in my head. The past 4 years have been hard finacially and emotionally. I lost my dad 1 1/2 yrs ago. I have no family left besides my DH side and my children. That is still hard. I don't have much friends because we are at different parts in our lives and I had no money at all to go out. At one point we couldn't even buy basic food. I worked on call for daycares as a cook. In October I got a job as chef at a retirement home. It took till febuary to get our finances on track and have no late bills left to pay. I LOVE I do mean love my job. The résidents are 65yrs and older and mostly women. They are wonderful. Since that my finances are Under control and I have a very well paying job. I can relax and take care of myself.... finally. So one day at a time and one pound at a time. I don't care if it takes 5 yrs to get to my healthy weight but slowly I will get there.

OMG is it ever hot and humid. It's worse in the kitchen. I am chef and boy am I sweating. BUT I love the heat. I can't stand the cold and with the winter we had up here(montreal) the heat is welcome. with my pedometer I already logged 6154 steps. I am happy I am counting my steps it gives me a better idea of the amount I burn. When it's hot like this I am not as hungry. I am happy for the rare times that I ate this mourning because I won't feel sick later because I didn't eat. I made myself an iced coffee mmm.

I was close to my estimate. I'm taking it one day at a time. I'm setting 5lb goals. It's easier to get to than 30lbs. My first goal is 330 then it'll be 5lb the next ones.
I think I'm starting a cold, my throat hurts and I got a little cough. a honey tea at work will hopefully help.
