Burning fat
If you want to burn fat, try running in the morning before consuming a meal. With your blood glucose low from fasting all night, your body is forced to find calories elsewhere. Also, by running earlier in the day it will boost your metabolism for the remainder of the day, more effectively burning what you do eat. Running is also one of the highest calorie activities. 30 minutes as a moderate pace should earn you several hundred.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
First thing in the morning after I use the bathroom, before I drink anything. I find it's important to get a nice fasting weight first thing in the morning if you want consistency.
After I've had my breakfast it'll be a few pounds heavier due to food and drink. After a workout, it'll be a bit low due to dehydration.
