Big pig roast at a friend's house and more food than a small town could ever hope to eat and I ATE!!
One gal, who is 100% Italian, brought the most amazing focaccia and I could not stop eating as it was soooooo good lol. Logged it as 8 oz because pretty sure that's how much I ate.
Amazed I didn't weigh in at a zillion pounds but more amazed I only showed a 1 pound uptick. Curious what the scale will show tomorrow.

Of note to my prior post is caloric intake June 5th - 7th was 6,522 calories.
I'll be 60 this year and have been a label reader since I was 15. I firmly believe what you eat matters more than how much you eat.
I'll search to see if I van find Covert Bailey's 'Fit or Fat Target Diet' (not positive on his first name or exact title of book) but read it in the 80s. Fascinating concept.
Back out to the chicken people I go.

i have been eating only what I make with the exception of a select few salad dressings AND not eating after 6-7 pm.
Also keeping up on daily flax, apple cider vinegar and my electrolytes.
Calories are between 1,800 - 2,200 and I have always prioritized protein as I do significant labor most days.
Interesting addition has been honey, 40 grams per day, in my brewed tea which I drink throughout the day. I lease space to beekeepers and we were chatting about the anti-inflammatory properties attributed to honey. Did some reading and decided to give it a try...I do believe it's having a very positive effect.
Honey is rich in the amino acid Proline. Found the whole subject fascinating.
I want to encourage and support every FS traveler to LEARN what is in your food; single out every ingredient and dissect its origins, benefits/detriments and whether it helps or hinders your journey to optimal health.

Not too hungry with the heat and I spend considerable time outside no matter what the weather. All good.
I stay on top of my hydration and take electrolytes thru the day to ensure I don't crash and burn which is why I am so glad there is quality conversation on FS regarding salt.
