Needing advice
Thank you all for your advice! I will keep trying. I will also monitor my food intake. I am hoping to see some kind of a change in 4 weeks. I just hope something kick starts this process!

Needing advice
Okay, so it's time to figure this weight thing out. Two years ago I was at the weight that I wanted to be at and didn't even have to exercise to stay at that weight. However, within the last two years my body has changed and I have gained weight in my mid-section and hips. This started when a doctor put me on a medication to help me sleep. This medication made me gain 15Lbs. in a matter of a month. Once I realized that I was just going to keep gaining weight if I continued this medication I stopped taking it. I have been working out 3-4 times a week since January of this year and can't seem to lose the weight. I am 48 years old and am told that it is because of my hormones changing as to why the weight won't come off. I refuse to accept this! I have never had this problem before. So I have decided to try to get strict with my eating plan by only eating the 1300 calories per day required for me to lose weight along with still going to the gym. Maybe I need to increase my cardio work outs? any suggestions as to how often I should lift weights compared to doing cardio? I have been lifting weights more often then doing cardio each week. I know I have gained muscle but can't seem to lose the weight around my mid-section. It is very frustrating!
