I am a 35 year old mother of 4 who has 4 children, 1 main business and 2 side businesses. As a teenager I struggled for 4 years with anorexia but managed to mostly recover by my senior year. When I graduated, I was 135 pounds - the heaviest I had ever been at that time. Unfortunately I recovered a little too well and began gaining weight in my college years.
Fast forward to having 4 kids in 4 years and then going on bipolar meds for 2 more years and I ballooned up to over 200lbs. Unfortunately it didn't stop there. I got lazy, complacent, depressed and started drinking at night with friends after kids went to bed (at home - I don't do the bar scene). I was a pop-aholic as well, drinking up to a case of diet coke a day.
When I hit 285lbs I finally woke up and realized this had to stop and that I was killing myself! The doctors wanted to remove my gall bladder, I was borderline pre-diabetic, I had constant migraines, restless leg syndrome and so much more. If I kept going I was facing surgeries and lots of hospital time and medications. I changed my life thanks to P90X and Shakeology and lost 115 pounds over the course of about 18 months. I then joined the army national guard at the age of 34.
I got home from training in August and put on 15 pounds in 4 months! Talk about not happy! I have been overeating, drinking soda (not diet this time which means lots of sugar and empty calories), and not exercising like I should. Unfortunately all these changes have triggered my anorexia and she has reared her ugly head once again. I found this site and love every aspect of it! So much better than all the other sites I have tried (like MFP, Sparkpeople, LoseIt, etc).
I am hoping to find others who may have similar stories to mine so we can buddy up and support each other. Going it alone is never easy! Please message me or add me - I'd love to talk with you!
