Just came back from a long weekend away in Maine visiting my sis and her husband. We had a wonderful 4 days of exploring, vineyard touring, shopping, hiking, and indulging in local food and drinks. On our last night, we stayed in and enjoyed a home cooked meal that we cooked together. It was comforting, but simple. I felt I was doing ok. I wasn’t really worried too much about tracking anything and just wanted to enjoy myself. But I’ve got say.. I had to weigh myself to figure out how much my suitcase weighs this morning and didn’t totally love the number I saw. Sissy suggested we track food and workouts together to keep ourselves accountable and I agreed. Will weigh in again tomorrow and will go back to counting my cals. Hate this process, but it’s effective.

I know it's still summer, but Starbucks just launched their PSL today, so I'm indulging! The normal recipe is 470 cals, so I modified mine to skim foam, light whip, and only one pump of pumpkin syrup. Tasted like delicious autumn in NYC.

I'm so bummed! The non-stick coating on my beautiful new pan is gone because I made the mistake of frying chicken breast on high heat last week. So now my eggs look even messier than usual. 400 cals and 30g of protein. I'm super sore from the gym and yoga this weekend still, but I'm really wanting to lift weights, so I'm keeping the momentum going. Happy Monday, all!
