Hi all! I was forced to take a little diet and workout break for a week because I got extremely busy with work and then I went out of town to my friends' house in the mountains to celebrate my 40th Birthday. It was GLORIOUS and very much needed. But as every parent knows, a vacation with your babies is just work in a different setting. So as beautiful as the time was, I am a little tired.

Tired or not, today was back to reality in NYC. Kids are back in day camp and are on a normal schedule again and I am back to tracking cals and protein and my workouts. I lifted weights today on my lunch break and and am planning a 30 minute run tonight after the kids go to sleep. I think it's the daily creatine and beta-alanine that are giving me a major boost because normally, a break like this would derail my strength training process a little. But I've honestly never felt stronger. My last workout before today was July 5th. I didn't have to go down in weights, which I consider to be a win!
