I am a register nurse and I work in surgery. I love my job but seeing
the physical effects of patient's poor diets and sedentary lifestyle on a daily basis is a constant reminder of how important it is to eat healthy and exercise. I love to workout and play any sports. I also love to eat, which is why I work so hard to stay in control of my body. It's not always easy but nothing in life ever is.

Help!!! What is net (k) cal???
that is your extra calories for the day. If the arrow is pointing up and red that is how many calories you are over your daily limit. If it is green with the arrow pointing down, then that is the amount of calories you may still consume/or that you are down for that day. Therefore shoot for more green arrows for weight loss Smile

soy protein shakes
Are soy protein shakes good for you? I workout a lot and lift weights. I want to stay toned and lose weight but not necessarily gain a TON of muscle mass. Should I stay away from the protein shakes? Or is it good to have them every once in a while to give me a protein boost? I also heard that soy protein shakes are better for women than whey protein shakes. Any thoughts?
